I remember it well. Still think the best moment was the Isley Bros showing everyone they could still kick it with a great rendition of 'Shout'.

As for the Stones, well, what made their performance was Timberlake trying in vain to keep up to Mick's moves during their 'Miss You' duet. Out-danced by a guy in his 60s ... ouch. Tell the boy to stick to acting ... for all that's said about him, the guy is actually a pretty good actor. Unlike the dance music career, Hollywood carries a future beyond the age of 30.

But the thing that struck me most about the day was the violence. As in, none. Half a million people crammed into Downsview Park, which is not the biggest area, with hardly any room to move, and the entire day was peaceful. Don't know if that says more about Canadians or about the job done by the organizers and security staff, but it's impressive nonetheless.

And yes, Angus stole the show. Stole it right out from under The Stones, actually. The Stones were sunk after that, didn't matter how well they played. Because, how does anyone top an Angus striptease with Canadian boxers? Nice to see a band like AC/DC, who instead of putting on the serious face like so many of the other bands there, simply went out and had fun with the show for no other reason than they were ecstatic to be a part of it. Wish music had more performers like that.

(Hint, hint, Timberlake.)
